Distillery on tap for former Kmart in Beaufort, new businesses pegged for shopping center
More than a year after Kmart closed its doors, the city of Beaufort has approved design plans to accommodate several new tenants, including shops, restaurants and a distillery.
BEAUFORT, S.C. —
More than a year after Kmart closed its doors for the last time, plans are coming together to breathe new life into the Beaufort Town Center on Boundary Street.
The City of Beaufort approved design plans earlier this month that would have several tenants setting up shop inside the 94,000-plus square foot facility and would see changes to the shopping center’s facade.
RLB Distillery, offering rum and vodka, will open inside the former Kmart automotive center. Hank’s She Crab Soup, The Cracked Egg and several other restaurants have announced their intention to move into the shopping center while new retail shops include Wild Birds Unlimited and Grounded Running, according to the property ownership 303 Associates, LLC.
There are opportunities available for lease in Beaufort Town Center. For additional information, please contact 303 Associates at 843-521-9000, firstname.lastname@example.org, or visiting 303 Associates on their website and filling out the contact form.
